IBM Mainframe/ZOS systems programmer is required by a prestigious investment bank that is based in London however they have a large UK presence with offices in Home Counties. This is a phenomenal opportunity for an IBM Mainframe/ZOS systems programmer to join an exclusive IT Operations Services team that has been pivotal in the banks reduction of costs of operations.

As the IBM Mainframe/ZOS systems programmer you will be responsible for actively administering the supported services to meet SLA's & KPI's. You will also be looking at complex issues and problems and will decide on production fixes or new solutions. Expert knowledge of CICS and Knowledge of system administration tasks for DB2 and IMS are essential for this particular role.

Specialist knowledge in IBM System Z Mainframe Hardware, including ZOS will be required as this is a very technical role which will require a lot of ownership of the effective e performance delivered by this team.

This is a 6 months rolling contract position with market rates.

Essential Skills:
  • Specialist IBM System Z Mainframe Hardware, Including ZOS
  • Ability to programme within z/OS mainframe operating system
  • Expert knowledge of Customer Information Control System CICS run on IBM mainframe systems under z/OS and z/VSE
  • Able to lead technical resources/3rd party resources on small engagements
  • expert awareness of problem solving procedures used for business-critical IT incidents
  • Investment Banking background - would be a nice to have.
