Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Aberdeen. £negotiableProgressive Global Energy has been tasked by a key account in Aberdeen to source an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company are a well established service company who have found themselves being known for Research and Design of innovative solutions for the subsea market. Having recently expanded their operations team, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Intervention team on an permanent basis to help with the increased workload.
The facilities are located in the Bridge of Don. You will be an experienced design engineer to a senior/principle level capable of undertaking approval and supervision of design, validation and verification on subsea intervention equipment.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Aalyse and rollout customer specifications
- Develop conceptual design requirements for customers as well as undertake design reviews
- Ensure equipment is designed in line with HSE legislation
- Identify required improvements to enhance existing equipment
- Supervise/mentor more junior members of team
- Undertake design reviews
- Prepare and select materials
- Preparation of FAT
Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
*Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship (i.e. British Citizen or currently holding a valid Tier 1 visa)
* Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering
* Extensive experience working of working on and designing intervention equipment
