Highly reputable and marketing leading Investment bank is seeking an experienced Senior Production Support Specialist for their Front office.
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Production Support Specialist:
- Provide 1st & 2nd line technical & functional support for Equity Derivatives Technology in London with particular emphasis on flow Derivates, Pricing and Risk systems
- The ideal candidate will already be supporting one of Sophis or Horizon and be technically competent in SQL Server, Oracle, Unix/Windows and Excel/VBA.
- Define and execute superior SLA based procedures for a 24/6 production cycle for all Equities Franchise systems regionally
- Maintain relationships with vendors and development teams to drive improvements required for supportability, and remain informed on functional enhancements
- 1st and 2nd front line support of a 24/5 production cycle including SOPHIS and other SED IT systems
- Help develop and maintain an information repository of application support material that can be accessed by support resources
- Act in a strict change management regime, involving testing in UAT and like-live environments and weekend releases
- Small scale weekend application upgrade, configuration and patching across multiple environments in line with requirements
Experience of a Senior Production Support Specialist:
- Experience supporting Equities Derivatives - Trading floor environment.
- Experience Globe and Sophis product life cycle and trouble shoot procedures.
- Compliance Reporting - Dodd Frank production support life cycle)
- Scripting and programming.
- Ability to negotiate agreements and maintain effective business partnerships with peer support & operations groups.
- Experience of supporting one or more of the main trading, sales, risk management or Market Data applications
- FIX, Bloomberg, Reuters
- Application development and application support in a front-office environment
- Worked in a development environment
- Geneos ITRS configuration and maintenance experience
- Understanding of Capacity Management with ability to analyse current and future performance requirements
- Languages: Shell Scripting, C/C++, Java, PERL, PHP, SQL
- Other: UNIX/Solaris Operating Systems, Equity Order Management, FIX Messaging, Network Protocols
