Essential Skills of a Senior Application Support:- Past experience with Front office Trading Applications
- Excellent knowledge of:
o Equity Cash and Derivative Electronic Exchanges,
o ECNs and MTFs (e.g. Deutsche Bourse, LSE Millennium, Euronext, BATS/CHI-X, etc)
- Auction Systems
- Databases (Sybase, Mysql and MS Access)
- Scripting (Shell & Perl)
- In depth experience with Windows, Unix, Linux
- Proven track record of Platform Management (Implementation, Configuration, Support)
Desired Skills of a Senior Application Support:
- Understanding of FIX Desirable
- Background experience in development is advantageous
Overall this will be an extremely varied role, with responsibilities ranging from Strategic planning to non functional and functional testing.
