Computer Futures are currently looking for an Oracle Exadata Consultant for a key client of ours based in London DescriptionWe are looking for Oracle Exadata Consultant for an immediate need. The applicants should have strong support experience in Oracle Engineered system (Exadata) in a production environment. This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.
Required skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Engineered (Exadata) Systems.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in ASM architecture.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in RAC architecture.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Installation, maintenance of Oracle Exadata machines.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Technical consulting.
Job Description:
  • As a database machine administrator the primary job will be to support daily operational requirement of Oracle Engineered system (Exadata) in a production environment.
Hands on experience:
  • Exposure to Oracle Engineered (Exadata) Systems
  • Installation, maintenance of Oracle Exadata machines
  • Migration of databases to Exadata.
  • Good understanding of Exadata features like smart scans, HCC, flash cache, Infiniband, ILOM,
  • In depth knowledge of ASM architecture.
  • In depth knowledge of RAC architecture.
  • Thorough understanding of the Oracle database features (backup and recovery, performance tuning, user management etc. and other generic DBA functions).
  • Oracle RDBMS installation, configuration and maintenance activities.
  • Understanding of Oracle's Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA).
  • Good understanding of Oracle Support Services mechanism.
  • Good knowledge on UNIX, Linux.
  • Good hardware debugging skills.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts.
  • Exposure to Golden gate, data vault etc. will be an added advantage.
Additional skills:
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Working with Global teams across the continents.
  • Flexibility for relocation and willingness to travel.
