Front-End Web Developer (remote work possible)

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Voalte is redefining hospital communication by providing a complete solution for VoIP over Wi-Fi, delivery of critical alarms and secure text messaging on the latest mobile devices. The Web Developer is directly responsible for all web-based interfaces to the Voalte System, which includes an administration console, Messenger platform, and system information, as well as web-based modules for internal use. This person will work directly with the server and client teams, QA, UI team and graphic designer. This position maybe remote!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Owns back-end and front-end web development responsibilities for various communication systems.

Assists with the design and development of new features following an Agile methodology.

Implements new features according to generally accepted coding guidelines.

Writes unit-tests for new feature implementations.
Documents new feature implementations.

Organizes, maintains and documents source code in version control system (we use Git).

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of web development experience using Javascript, HTTP and REST

Demonstrable experience using HTML5 and some modern javascript framework (ex: Angular, Backbone, Ember, Knockout)

Must have a strong understanding of client/server protocols including TCP/IP and HTTP

Detail oriented

Strong work ethic, demonstrating a commitment to details, organization and time management skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Comfortable in an Agile / scrum development environment with highly interactive team
