I have an urgent requirement for an electronics engineer to fill a 6 months contract.As an Electronics Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of instrument design and throughout the entire design / product life cycle. The role will include design work, communicating with both internal and external customers and approval bodies, building and testing prototypes.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate:
- Formal qualifications in Electronic Engineering (Degree or Equivalent)
- Experience of instrumentation / electronic circuit design - both digital and analogue is essential
- Experience of EMC, Shock and Vibration and Environmental testing of instrumentation to ensure compliance with appropriate standards advantageous
- Experience of / desire to learn about the design of equipment for use in explosive atmospheres
- Mechanical knowledge advantageous
- Practical ability to complement academic skills
- Can do attitude - excellent analytical and diagnosis skills with a common sense approach to delivering practical engineering solutions in a fast paced environment
- Ability to take engineering concept through to final product
- Capable of producing and following project / product documentation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate and develop working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
