Currently seeking an SC cleared Mechanical Engineer, to be based at the client site in Hampshire, on a 6 month contract.
Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been asked to hold current SC clearance for this role.

Role Overview:
The Integrated Survivability and Lethality Group provides enduring support for Indirect Fire and enabling systems Through Life Capability Management, survivability and vulnerability software development and modelling to FLC Army (primarily Capability Directorate Combat Support (CD CS), associated DTs in DE&S, the Weapons Operating Centre, Weapons Evaluation and Capability Assurance (WECA) and the Programme Delivery Directorate. With current pressures on MOD finances the team has an increased requirement to provide technical and analytical support across a range of studies that will provide insights and support into decision making (ie ABC 13/14), equipment acquisition, future concept scoping and S&T research planning. This requires Technical Advice, underpinned by knowledge of Industry, IRC and Academia. Additionally the Group is tasked with providing support to Reachback and other ad-hoc tasks.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Undertake and review key Integration assessments;
- Engage with and support DE&S PT to understand and progress integration work and de-risk the key risks identified during year 1 of the project.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Good knowledge of military vehicles and experience of integrating systems onto vehicles;
- Proven ability to work on own initiative and technically partner with industry.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Proven knowledge of a range of military vehicles and experience of integrating new systems onto vehicles.
