Hourly/Salary: to $45W2/to $90K conversion
Non-Local Candidates: Out of state candidates will be considered, however, there is no relocation reimbursement/assistance being provided at this time. Candidates that are not local to Texas must be willing to incur the travel expenses for interviews and/or relocation, to be considered.
ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a VMware/Linux Systems Administrator for a 6M C2H opportunity in Corinth, TX. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator for will be the go-to person responsible for researching, recommending, installing, configuring, and maintaining VMware technology in a multi-platform mission critical environment as well as provide support for the Linux Server environment. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will participate in departmental projects by assisting in the development of project plans, documentation, and task execution. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will perform daily system maintenance tasks and participate in on-call duty. The ideal VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will be experienced with project management principles and be a motivated self starter with attention to detail. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will be a team-oriented performer, focused on the tasks and goals of the organization with excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will need to be very customer service oriented and who always incorporates the view of the end user in technical solutions. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will be analysing technical challenges and developing potential resolutions appropriately; producing and maintaining quality technical documentation and reports; and producing quality, thorough project plans. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will adhere to project plans and recommend plan changes as needed, remains abreast of changes in system software and hardware requirements. The VMware/Linux Systems Administrator will need to be able to work with IT Ops Team as well as other IT teams on projects.

- Ensure Hardware/Software Licensing Compliance for Server/Storage Systems
- Help Maintain the Backup/Recovery/Storage Systems
- Maintain/Create Server/Storage Documentation
- Establish/Maintain Network Users/User Environment/Directories/Security, etc.
- Provide Advanced Support on Helpdesk Server/Storage Issues
