Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce that our major rail industry clients are seeking an experienced GSM-R professional to advise and monitor on-going rail projects within Saudi Arabia. This project is large and encompasses the Harmain High Speed Rail Development, territories covered by this position are Jeddah – Madrid and any locations where elements where the GSM-R will be designed or manufactured.
Role Requirements:
- Ensure that SRO PM is kept informed on an on-going basis of progress in the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the HHR GSM-R.
- Provide guidance to the SRO-PM for the GSM-R various issues.
- Assist the SRO-PM in developing and mentoring junior Saudi Railways engineers.
- Review the monthly progress reports of the Engineer and the Contractor, advise on the deviations and proposed actions for corrections.
- Attend design and construction meetings to be fully informed on the progresses, the open technical issues between the Engineer and the Contractor, advise on actions and instructions the Client has to undertake/provide, if any.
- Review and advise on the Engineer’s recommendation about the contractor’s claims and variations.
- Visit construction sites from time to time and prepare reports.
- Assist on the prequalification of subcontractors and suppliers and attend quality and acceptance tests if instructed by the project manager.
