Senior Production Technologist Role

Serve as one of the lead Production Technologists (PT) on the area development team providing guidance to the WRM team and input into development plans Generation and implementation of an annual surveillance plan in line with corporate guidelines.

Ensuring compliance with reservoir management, well integrity, voidage and flare control guidelines and taking appropriate actions

Lead member of the daily integrated surveillance team comprising wells, reservoirs and subsea. Significant interface with offshore FPSO operations. Key member of the well integrity monthly group ensuring all wells are safe and we can prove so.

Identification of short term oil opportunities for ranking in the IAP process. Maturation of short term oil opportunities within the team, or within the Front End Studies Dept if significant study is required.

Maintenance and update of all key asset and corporate databases with new surveillance data and interpretations.

Implementation of discipline and other appropriate minimum standards. Implementation of processes to maximize the return on existing assets.

Medium and long term production forecasts for the existing wells. Generate monthly the IPSC advised settings for 90 day plan.

Compliance with HSE, SCD and security policies and procedures in operations undertaken or proposed by the team.

Regular interface with Co-Venturers and Nigerian regulator on performance and adherence to guidelines.

CONTRACT ROLE

Required Skills/Experience:

Operation and constraints of the surface facilities as well as the reservoir description and fluid flow in the reservoir to allow the provisioning of optimum Reservoir and Well surveillance Plans and system reviews.
Detailed insight and knowledge of established and emerging technology in order to initiate & implement new concepts for optimising the entire production system through workovers, short-term oil and production enhancement effort and system debottlenecking.
Solid understanding of
- Fluid mechanics - e.g. inflow performance, multiphase flow in wells, tubulars and facilities.
- Chemistry - stimulation, corrosion, wax, scale, bacteria, cement, etc.
- Systems - computing, artificial lift systems, perforating systems, sand exclusion methods/techniques, completion/workover design, water/gas injection, etc.
- Flow assurance in subsea environment

Desired Skills/Experience:

Acquisition and storage of fit-for-purpose surveillance data for the producing assets in line with corporate standards and processes.
Advises daily on optimum production and injection settings.
Management of well integrity.
Maximizing total hydrocarbon flow capacity from the reservoir through to the export pipeline.
Complex subsea system with many interfaces
WRM activities carried out against plan
Deliver Short term oil gain targets and production / injection targets
Ensure surveillance database integrity and completeness
Generation, maturation and execution of short term oil opportunities.
Supervision, training and mentoring of staff in section.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum BSc
Direct experience as Production Technologist including knowledge in
-Operational Geology
-Drilling / Completion / Work over Fluids
-Cementing / Isolation
-Assure Technical Integrity and Assess
-Completion Type.
-Design Well / Reservoir Interface.
-Selection to Improve Sand Control Measurement.
-Prepare a proposal for Well Completion.
-Determine Well Operating Envelope
-Assess uncertainty impacting Surf development.

12 years
