Along with its growing consumer focus, HealthyWage delivers its services to large employers across a broad spectrum of industries, including Fortune 500 companies in most major sectors (from Oracle to Office Depot), some of the largest government employers in the country, and many other employers.
HealthyWage is seeking a senior interface designer (interactive and visual design) to work on challenging design projects on a freelance basis.
You will help us turn ideas into fantastic designs that delight our clients and participants, and transform our current website into one that satifies users at every turn. We're looking for someone with a knack for making complex interactions/processes seem simple, and for making even mundane tasks feel fun and delightful.
Responsibilities:
- Develop intuitive interfaces that enhance and simplify the user experience
- Help us make each part of the experience delightful -- we want every moment of each user's experience to seem fun and satisfying
- Help us make complex interactions seem simple and not cluttered or overwhelming
- Help us improve how our website looks on mobile and tablet
- Help us design delightful and simple mobile apps
- Develop storyboards, conceptual diagrams, site maps, interaction models, and wireframes for audiences ranging from product managers, other designers, developers, architects and top-level executives
- Contribute to rapid prototyping sessions to assist development and product teams in visualizing new UI elements and functionality
- Assist in the development of detailed UI style guides and specifications
- Work from product requirement specs and mockups to deliver production-ready markup for engineering
- 5+ years professional web and graphic design experience (online portfolio required)
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and other design-related applications
- Experience with standards-compliant, browser-agnostic design
- Understanding of information architecture, interaction design, usability principles, aesthetics, and best practices
- Advanced writing and communication skills
- High level of self-motivation, innovation and imagination, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (development will be handled by our development team, but familiarity with these tools is very helpful).
