Rate: £275 - £400 per day
Key skills: AIX6 systems administrator, LINUX Red Hat, pSeries, UNIX Architectural knowledge, SAN, networking, server builds, VMWare or Microsoft HyperV.
Project details: A higher education institution based in London currently has a great opportunity for an experienced UNIX technician to provide support throughout an extensive university migration. Working within the gifted network team you will provide assistance and support to customers, as well as monitor and maintain internal systems.
As the University UNIX technician you will support virtualisation technology and High Availability solutions throughout the organisation. A large part of your role will be to assist operational staff with any UNIX questions raised.
This is an exciting time to provide essential support to staff over an expanding campus and play a vital role as the UNIX technician within the network team.
