Description

We're looking for a full stack developer to build awesome ecommerce retail sites that convert like crazy. The ideal person is capable of doing great contract work (and being paid fairly for it) but is truly interested in something bigger - a full-time commitment as the technical partner, with real equity and profit sharing.

A little bit about our team and what we're doing: We come from the online marketing agency world, heavy into performance marketing for ecommerce retail. From our experience, we've discovered a model for online retail that allows us to create an extremely scalable way to build and market websites with thousands of high order products on each site. Specifically, we use an advanced product data management tool to organize and advertise our products across all major shopping engines and marketplaces.

We've entered the automotive market with our first site AutoLightPros.com. Our goal is to build 10-20 sites of similar size and scope. Based on our experience, we have a good idea of what each site should gross, making a very successful business model so long as we can build out the sites needed. (On the marketing side of things, we're confident in our ability to drive profitable traffic in volume.)

For our first site, we've worked with a couple of agency vendors, and we weren't very happy with the results, for obvious reasons. We've learned our lesson, and going forward we are determined to work with a talented, hungry developer who might be interested in coming in board full-time as a technical partner if there's a good fit.

Our team (myself, James, Ben and Steve) has the funding to fairly compensate for quality work, with the possibility of something more meaningful if it seems like the right fit. We're based in San Diego and LA, but we're happy to work remotely via google+ hangouts and skype. Of course, we'd be happy to show you around SD and introduce you to some amazing taco shops :)

We would love to chat on the phone if you're interested in discussing this further.

  • About Auto Light Pros
Our company is comprised of four guys who are experienced online marketers. We're taking everything we've learned over years of building profitable online retail campaigns and managing product data feeds to create a business of 10-20 drop shipping sites that have a great UX and amazing marketing funnel. The age range is mid 20s to mid 30s, and we're pretty self aware and chill guys, ambitious but also very much about life-work balance. We're all about creating something new, working for ourselves and one another, and building something we're proud of and enjoy doing. We're looking for a fifth member of the team, ideally someone who wants to be our technical partner and have an ownership in the business. (But if you're interested in straight up contract work, we're also comfortable with that. Mainly, we want someone who is talented and takes pride in what they do.)
