Our Federal Government client is seeking the services of a Security Analyst to perform risk assessment to technology projects.

Overview:

This role will also assist with the configuration, maintenance and monitoring of ICT Security infrastructure including Internet filtering, email filtering, intrusion detection and vulnerability0 management.

The successful applicant will need strong ICT Security skills.

The duties will include

  • Performing risk management based technical security assessments against the PSPF and ISM;
  • Providing technical assistance to Technology projects to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and industry best practice;
  • Undertaking ICT Security risk assessments on proposed system designs and report on compliance with the PSPF and ISM;
  • Configuring, maintaining and monitoring security infrastructure including Firewall policy, content filtering and IDS; and
  • Writing documentation including SOP, SSP, SRMP, TRA and ICT Security policy.

To be successful the ideal candidate will have

  • Full understanding of Government ICT security compliance requirements and experience in their effective application;
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting ICT security technical architecture, assurance reviews and capability to work with clients to identify and implement solutions;
  • Demonstrated experience in writing ICT Security documents: SOP, SSP, SRMP, TRA and ICT Security policies;
  • Demonstrated experience with technical ICT Security infrastructure including Firewall policy, content filtering and IDS;

The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen with a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
