SAP PP MM Consultant, LE, ECC 6.0

We are urgently seeking a SAP PP/MM Consultant to work in Weybridge.

This role will require communication with customers at all levels, knowledge of the MM/ LE modules in SAP R/3 (ECC 6.0), the ability to diagnose and resolve problems and issues and to act as a consultant to customers.

The role requires strong MM configuration, basic ABAP knowledge and strong business analysis skills. It is necessary to work closely with the business management and users to ensure that the system meets their needs and that it is configured to provide optimal service all the time.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide support and consulting services for Customers across Europe and MEA area for Manufacturing subsidiaries.
  • Understand the Risks and mange global overview of the system within Material Management and Master data maintenance for flawless business function.
  • Understand, monitor and support all process and its interfaces to other modules within SAP.
  • Assist and empower customers, power users, peers when required to manage support and business process improvements.
  • Manage / deliver allocated tasks / projects to agreed costs, timescales and quality
  • Ensure all work undertaken and system applications confirm to Company standards, frameworks and procedures and meet the agreed service levels.
  • Manage, plan and prioritize tasks to achieve agreed deadlines and meet requirements of customer.
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems and its applications to meet forecast business requirements
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams on major projects, contributing expertise and advise to ensure successful project completion
  • Project management for projects within SAP area irrespective of Modules predominantly in EDI, Material Management, Logistics and Production Planning.

    • Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance
    • Able to communicate at all levels of customers and able to convince and promote ideas in challenging environments.
    • Willing to travel to client sites to advise customers on improvements and work towards a consistent approach to MM/LE/SD matters.


    Technical Expertise;
    • Have developed specialist knowledge in PP/MM module, at-least 1 Lifecycle including end user support.
    • Knowledge in LE/SD module is desirable.
    • Must have knowledge in production planning concepts.
    • Must have knowledge in ECC enhancements, Exits.
    • Knowledge in FI/CO and SD is desirable.
    • Knowledge in ITSM methodology.
    • Applies knowledge/skills to a range of standard and non standard activities.

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Degree or equivalent (in a business, accounting or computer related discipline).

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 3 years' experience in the PP/MM modules in SAP, preferably with ECC 6.0.
    • At least 1 lifecycle implementation.
    • Experience of working in a large multi-national company in a support and development role.
    • Good Experience of consulting and support with customers.
    • Knowledge of SD, LE would be an advantage.
    • Self-starter, able to work minimal supervision, takes responsibility, works under pressure, show initiative and have good problem solving and communication skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of sales and logistics practices and processes.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be free to travel within Europe as required.
    • Largely autonomous role; so good client facing skills with experience of all levels of people and comfortable with working with senior managers within IT and the business.
    • Good understanding of ITSM process and service desk operations.
