Location: Omaha, NE - Need to be on-site for the duration of the contract - Client will cover travel expenses for the right candidate!

POSITION DETAILS
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Firewall Engineers for a 6 month contract opportunity in Omaha, NE. the Firewall Engineers will be contributing to a long term project (estimated at three years in duration) integrating dozens of technologies together to increase the efficiency of our client's technical environment. The Firewall Engineers will need to be savvy with multiple Firewalls, and be able to speak to their experience with similar projects to our end-client.
The project is focused around assisting with two critical network security infrastructure upgrades. The customer will be replacing ~100 Cisco PIX Firewall clusters with Checkpoint R77 SecureXL clusters in 2014. These upgrades will require a large amount of customer communication, internal communication, and coordination activities for post-change validation. To that end, the client requires a Sr. Security Engineer familiar with Checkpoint R77 Secure XL to work with the security team to identify resources (ie Servers and applications) behind the existing Cisco FW clusters and working on policy optimization.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
- Enterprise Infrastructure Security
- Firewall Engineering/Management
- Cisco PIX Firewalls/Clusters - Upgrade/Replacement/Configuration
- Checkpoint R77 SecureXL Clusters - Upgrade/Configuration/Maintenance
- Policy Optimization
- Other Firewall Experience - Must be able to articulate experience to end-client
- High-Level of Business Acumen
- Excellent English - Written/Verbal
PREFERRED (but not required)
- Network Security Certifications
- FireMon Security Management
