Senior QA Engineer
Our global clients' Dublin based team is responsible for the UI and middle tier development of their suite. They are seeking a talented QA Engineer with experience in advanced testing practices to help successfully delivery responsively developed internally and externally facing applications. This role involves working within a cross- functional Agile (Scrum) team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyse functional and technical system design for testability.
- Develop automated UI and web service test suite.
- Execute automated/manual tests.
- Lead the coordination of iteration tests and any required regression tests on the team.
- Lead defect management tasks across QA team.
- Mine and manipulate data to create system test data.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of hands-on enterprise software QA engineering, analysis, and testing experience.
- Full project life cycle experience, including requirements gathering, design, development, system test, user acceptance testing.
- Experience with Agile delivery principles and practices, preferably Scrum-based, and on agile engineering development practices.
- Experience in testing traditional/responsively designed web applications and web services
- Experience with test management tools.
- Experience with ATDD/BDD a plus.
- Experience with writing SQL queries.
Skills & Knowledge
- Solid Understanding of Quality Assurance methods and best practices.
- Test Management Tools such as Quality Center.
- UI & web service testing tools such as SOAPUI, SOATest, QTP, Selenium, Fitnesse.
- BDD tools a plus, such as Cucumber.
- Advanced data manipulation skills.
- Strong technical skills including a good understanding of Java & mobile technologies.
- Solid understanding of browser nuances.
