Description
MINDSPAN is an award-winning interactive agency using the latest web technologies to deliver innovative, interactive web experiences on behalf of its clients, and seeks a creative professional to join our web team on a “contract to hire” basis. You will directly contribute to the online presence of our interactive brand. As one of our “lead” front-end visual designers, you will be asked to conceptualize, build, and deploy progressive graphic user interfaces, creative menu strategies, and compelling visual elements (buttons, icons, banners, etc.) while forming a productive creative partnership with our principal, design staff, and content developers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science specialty; applicable work experience with focus on brand identity, websites, etc.
- 7+ years of prior agency development experience in UI/UX web design and development
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign)
- Expert proficiency with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and/or XML, XHTML
- Experience designing for Ektron CMS400.NET framework (ASP.NET) a plus
- Ability to drive projects from concept (wire frames, etc.) to posting (i.e., composition, typography, image editing/composition, web programming) and deployment
- General working knowledge of leading authoring platforms, along with experience interfacing with back-end developers (PHP, ASP, .Net, ColdFusion, JSP, etc.)
- Proven record of delivering progressive interactive UI design and front-end code on firm deadlines
- Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, correct web standards and usability
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities based on managerial preference and user analytics, and to execute tasks in a deadline driven, creative environment
- Ability to turn out exceptional work in weeks, not months, and to jump in on a project at any point in its lifecycle
