THE ROLE:
The Outsourcing Centre of Excellence in the bank's Procurement has three core objectives:
1) To facilitate the central oversight, management and coordination all Outsourcing strategy, globally;
2) To ensure all outsourcing projects are executed to the highest contractual and commercial standards;
3) To own the bank's policy, governance and control associated with Outsourcing activities globally
The role of the Outsourcing Consultants in the team is to work with Strategic Outsourcing Consultants to enable these three core objectives which will involve the skills and capability to lead all elements of the end to end outsourcing process from proactive strategy development and policy / regulatory understanding through to hands on commercial and contractual execution in collaboration with the bank's businesses and others colleagues from Procurement.
Outsourcing Consultants will lead and support successful development and execution of the bank's's global outsourcing projects from strategy development through to contract execution, management and control. In most instances they will work with business partners and procurement colleagues being the outsourcing subject matter expert, ensuring that the firm appropriately considers all the typical outsourcing project attributes; from the determination of sourcing strategy, scope definition and market approach, due diligence through to timely engagement of appropriate functional areas of the firm such as HR, tax, finance, information security, risk and our regulators. In addition to the practical project elements, lead areas of the bank's businesses through the appropriate outsourcing governance including the central outsourcing oversight process. Also, ensure that knowledge is dispersed across the procurement teams via development a suite of tools, governance and institutional know-how to improve the firm's approach and execution of these types of project across the group.
