Description
The Application Specialist guides the technical activities for one or various applications and/or domains.
Specific activities related to Application Maintenance of Sophis and satellite systems:
* Request handling: analyze and perform the resolution or delivery of the tickets based on the requests
* Ensure the daily follow up of the applications including availability and performance
* Ensure support for incidents and support questions formalize and validate functional problems identified.
* Validate the supplied solution before handing over (for testing) by the user. Participate in maintenance and upgrading of the software purchased (set, test, train).
* Decide on priorities, organize and coordinate the implementation
Specific competences:
The specific skills required for this function are:
* Minimal Technical skills: Languages (Java, C++, Microsoft Office). Messaging (MQ Series, J2EE, XML). Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, Windows). Databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
* Application knowledge: Sophis (mandatory)
* Senior: experiences 5 years
* He/she guarantees the perennity and coherence of the existing applications, taking into account existing standards and system requirements. He/she ensures a technical solution in-line with the requirements and the Target Enterprise Architecture vision.
* He/she performs technical analysis, implementation effort estimation, organization and review of implementation, organization and review of deployment activities
* He/she provides the Application or Project Manager with all the necessary data on analysis & design & development activities and on architectural, technical and operational issues.
* He/she organizes the work of the implementers/developers and ensures the application of implementation guidelines and appropriate documentation.
* He/she writes and maintains documentation, provides support relating to functional and technical aspects and participates in the review of peers.
Main tasks:
* Manage and support the execution of activities in Development and Delivery Life Cycle (Requirement Analysis, Design, Build, or Testing) of Sophis Risque Application and satellite systems, support and supervision of peers
* Planning: manage projects and distribute tasks, lead estimation workshops, anticipate on interferences with agreed plan
* Documentation: organise documentation and assure usability and accessibility
* Respect of standards: participate in the quality assurance, review and improvement of the standards
* Quality of deliverables: assure correct comprehension of instructions, question the existing
* Collaboration: assume the responsibilities, share information and ideas, support and coach colleagues and peers
