Description
QlikView Consultant is required by my client for a major project based in Brussels to deliver a range of solutions within a settlement role for a major international organisation.
The role for QlikView Consultants will be focused on the following:
Tasks
- You design the most appropriate alternative that meets the business requirements.
- You implement according the standards in place.
- You create scripts to extract, transform and load data from large number of sources into QlikView applications.
- You manage reporting, analytical tools and dashboards using QlikView technology.
- You document the implementation for both business users and operational technical team.
- You transfer the knowledge to the service and support team.
- You train the business end-users on the implementation.
- You contribute to the definition and the execution of the end-to-end tests and to the parallel tests.
- You apply structure knowledge to solve problems, break down issues, and identify/implement solutions.
- You deploy the solution according the IS processes in place.
- You coach a junior colleague.
- You report to the project manager.
Essential Skills & Experience
- You have a strong experience in Datamodelling, developing complex QlikView data models.
- You have knowledge in relational databases and SQL queries
- knowledge of the operation and architecture of BI solutions and BI concepts.
- Expertise in QlikView technology.
- You can optimize implementations to improve the performances.
- You have a good knowledge of French or Dutch and are fluent in English (oral and written).
- You are self-starter able to work proactively and work independently but also as a team player in complex project organizations.
- You have excellent communication skills (verbally and written) on all levels with the ability to articulate to both technical and non-technical audiences, both internal to the company as external.
- You can easily and simply explain complex subjects.
- You are capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast paced and agile work environment
- You take particular attention to details and are rigorous in your work.
The following experiences will be an advantage:
- Related experience in the energy or banking sector, financial aspects.
- Knowledge in communication protocols (a.o.: web services).
- knowledge in project management methodologies (Agile/scrum in particular)
The rate for the role is €450 to €500 per day and is offered for 6-months contract.
