Description
Responsible for the development and maintenance of network communications. Uses knowledge of LAN/MAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Requires a bachelors degree and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. This role must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol Routers, multilayer Switches, network security devices and network management systems. Possesses one or more industry standard certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc. ITIL v3 studies expected. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Must be familiar with managed services concepts within an outsourcing environment. Typically reports to a manager.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology preferred
Strong people skills
Demonstrated ability in using MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Visio
Deep understanding of project management methodology (eg PMBOK)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong facilitation skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
PMI's Certified PMP
5 years. of experience with datacenter rationalization, consolidation, relocation, or migration
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal
Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements
Knowledge of the SDLC
Experience building reports
-Review target configuration and provide feedback
