Manager, Health Economics and Reimbursement - Northeast Region-Description
Position Summary:
This position is field based.
-The Health Economics & Reimbursement Manager/Sr. Manager, will cover the Northeast Region.
-Collaboratively work with Sales colleagues; Regional Directors and Territory Managers to promote the economic and reimbursement value of our product portfolio in assigned geographic area.
-Conduct strategic health economics and reimbursement assessment and addresses hurdles with customers for new product entry / adoption and for growth/ penetration of established products.
-Demonstrate knowledge in creating economic models and successful use of models based on published clinical data to educate and influence external customers [facility personnel, surgeons, and personnel engaged in billing and coding].
-Demonstrate knowledge of business economics related to the US Healthcare trends, product coding, coverage and payment related to physician practices and hospital systems.
-Collaborate with colleagues to create educational materials/tools that demonstrate economic and reimbursement value of our product portfolio and further execute utilization with internal and external customers.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
-Masters degree in Health Care Administration, Finance, or related field
-Minimum of 5 years successful work experience in related fields; health economic outcomes, financial modeling, reimbursement, medical device claims, experience
-Preferred, advanced degree in health care administration or public health
-Coding credentials
Other Required Skills:
-Ability to travel 40 percent of the time - to meet with [1] health care professionals; [2] purchasing customers - hospitals/ASCs; [3] Regional and Territory Managers [RMs/TMs] - sales team members; and [4] attend trade shows, product education and training meetings, conferences, conventions, and reimbursement related educational meetings.
-Demonstrated problem-solving, project and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Advanced degree in health care administration or public health
-Experience with tissue matrix/skin substitute or capital equipment products
