As part of the Enterprise Applications Group and working with Product Owners the Product Manager role is responsible for the life-cycle, delivery, management and longer-term service improvement of a defined subset of critical business applications in this SharePoint Platform, Document Production & Management Portfolio.

In addition, it is responsible for defining and prioritizing the portfolio backlog (the single backlog that drives the portfolio's value delivery; serving as the content authority for the teams and is working with the Product Owners to optimise Feature delivery to the portfolio stakeholders and its users, balancing the technical and economic objectives.

The Product Manager (part of the Products Management Team for each portfolio) has following key responsibilities:

* Accountable for value delivery to Business Stakeholders
* Internal and sometimes external client facing
* Each product manager can typically support up to four Product Owners (and their Agile teams)
* Owns Portfolio Vision, pricing, licensing, ROI, and Program Backlog
* Drives Release Planning and Release content via prioritised Features
* Establishes feature acceptance criteria
* Manages key service providers (whether agile teams based offshore typically or with external service providers)

Role holder must have all round technical expertise in supporting and managing Applications and their life-cycle, in particular:

* Product expertise on SharePoint architecture and large-scale SharePoint deployment, both on-premise and as SaaS (Office365)
* Understanding of SharePoint as an Application Platform and how we can make the most of it for various business needs and provide guidance on product capabilities and limitations.
