Description
Utilize basic understanding of petrophysics to create edited well log dataUtilize third party log analysis software to enhance data according to customer specifications (curve merging, editing, depth shifting, SP baselining, etc.)
Manage the digital curve data quality control standards using log analysis software
Communicate with clients concerning technical processes, data accumulation parameters, data integrity maintenance, order management and content delivery issues
REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS
The Following Experience, Credentials or Skills are Required:
- College graduate with a degree in Earth Sciences(BA) Geology/Geophysics (BS)
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with digital well log data
- Basic understanding of the drilling and well logging process
- Fundamental knowledge of geology, lithology and wellbore geometry and specifically their common Well Log Responses
- Experience with Windows XP or 7, Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills
The Following Experience is Preferred:
- Working in networked environments
- Proficiency using CGG Powerlog/Powerbench or equivalent software
- Proficiency operating IHS applications (EDIN, Enerdeq, Petra, Kingdom)
