QA Automation engineer - FX Trading - ChicagoI am looking for a senior level QA Automation engineer for an expanding Foreign Exchange trading business in the Chicago area. You will be joining a brand new team focused on improving and expanding the Foreign Exchange/ payments area within this organization. The environment you will be working in is all based on Agile methodology and you will be working on a team of technologists focused on high quality technologies and designing the tests of an entirely new platform.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Write test cases as requirements are identified and automate those test cases through development
* Defines the test strategy in collaboration with Agile development teams and external clients
* Designs and plans testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control in liaison with the
* Closely liaises with the business users / business analysts and facilitate user acceptance testing
* Provides reporting on test progress, test outcomes, success rates, issues and risks
* Lead and mentor test analysts to ensure their continuous improvement
Mandatory Knowledge
* Knowledge of test environments, tools and infrastructure in an Agile environment
* Experience working in automation languages (either Python, Ruby, Java, C#, Groovy)
* Knowledge of test automation frameworks (GUI, unit test frameworks, etc.)
* Experience working with SQL (writing stored procedures, queries, etc.)
* Good working knowledge of Client/Server applications and testing issues
* Testing theory, methods, techniques and tools
* Knowledge of the SDLC
* Understanding in the use of structured software development and testing methodologies
Nice to Have Knowledge
* Financial experience a plus (working for a bank or trading firm)
* Big data experience
* Understanding of testing client/server and web applications
