Mansion House Consulting is hiring multiple SQL Server DBAs with demonstrable, recent experience for an onsite role with our Tier One Investment Bank client. Banking, financial or insurance sector experience preferred.
Location: Jersey City, NJ or Jacksonville, FL (multiple roles)

The DBA will be accountable/instrumental in migrating stand-alone MS SQL databases to a centrally managed shared service.
The DHS-S provides reliable, flexible, and scalable hosting platforms for MS SQL databases. The service provides an automatically built SQL database (version MS SQL Server 2008) hosted on VMware ESX clustered infrastructure.
You will have the following technical experience/skills:
- SQL DBA experience with .
- T-SQL & ANSI SQL.
- Large-scale data migration experience.
- Disaster Recovery/Replication (SQL Mirroring/Backup & Restore).
- Domain Authentication.
- Database Server optimization, fine-tuning.
- SQL Reporting Services.
- SQL SERVER Database Design.
- SQL SERVER Database troubleshooting.
- SQL SERVER Stored Procedure Design and implementation.
- SQL SERVER Database Performance monitoring.
Note: Experience with Sybase and VMware is preferred
Role and responsibilities:
- Database migrations via appropriate/approved methods.
- A point of escalation for major issues arising during migration of databases.
- Take ownership of all aspects of the implementation for databases at a deep technical level.
- An appreciation of business deadlines, and priorities balanced with best security practices and working methods.
- Understanding of risk analysis and assessment.
- Identification of areas of technical or operational weaknesses that arise in the course of the program, design and then take ownership of suitable remediation plans
- Documentation of process and concepts to assist in even distribution of knowledge in the wider database teams.
