I am a freelancer who is looking for a seasoned front-end developer to join my team on a contract by contract basis. As a front-end developer you will be responsible for bridging the gap between the visual design and Drupal back-end. Working with the UI designer and development team, you will make the design ‘work’. You will be responsible for establishing and applying best practices for front-end coding and must have extensive experience coding web sites with standards compliant HTML/CSS/Javascript.

Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Project Manager, Creative Director and Technical Lead
  • Work closely with the UI and development team to produce Drupal themes for websites and applications
  • Work alongside lead Drupal developer to develop site within a tight schedule.
  • Generate standards compliant themes with html/css/javascript
  • Follow best practices for theming workflows


  • Skills Required
  • Great organization and time management skills.
  • Exceptional front-end coding skills (html, css, javascript, jquery)
  • Extensive knowledge of front-end coding standards for Drupal
  • Ability to communicate well with clients and team members
  • Photoshop expertise
  • Proficiency in chosen development framework
  • Great design sense and ability to work closely with our Creative Lead
  • Familiarity with Front-end Frameworks such as Zen, Foundation, Skeleton, or Bootstrap


  • Nice to Haves
  • Working knowledge of PHP and LAMP environments
  • Experience working with SASS and Compass
  • Familiarity with UI/UX best practices
