Job Summary:
The Information Technology Cloud team has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cloud Services Specialist/Engineer. This individual will be responsible for designing innovative Cloud Services leveraging vCloud suite of products. You will be working with Business Partners to define requirements and develop Cloud Services and translating client's business requirements into Web consumable services, automate routine system automation tasks and support Cloud infrastructure and software. We are looking for excellent system administrators with keen interest in converting infrastructure into programmable code, and strong experience in system integration in large complex environment.
Essential Functions
-Lead a team to manage and support platforms to automate the complete application stack for BIO development organizations
-Blaze a trail of transformation throughout the IT and Devops teams by enabling self-service, automation, and efficiencies beyond traditional infrastructure
-Enable the development organization to reduce development life cycle time via continuous improvement
-Innovate and define the technical roadmap and strategy for KP's cloud program with latest technologies
-Ensure operational visibility on key metrics and progress for the cloud program
-Lead general systems engineering, design projects and other components of IT infrastructure as required
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in the following:
- At least one of VMWare vCenter/vCloud Director, AWS or Openstack
- Cloud based platform and applications services design
- System automation with Chef/Puppet with Git
- Orchestration and Automation tools such as vCloud Automation, vCloud Orchestration, any other
- Strong System Administration experience (Linux, Windows, VMWare )
- Web development experience with UI/portals (Microsoft ASP technologies)
- Configuring (virtual) Firewalls, load balancers, web server security, DNS, and related technologies
- Configuring and performance management of infrastructure stack, monitoring and alerting
- Software development, preferably around infrastructure management
- Strong team player capable of providing support across the KPIT-IMG organization to train and assist others
- Able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines through the use of strong organizational skills
- Highly energetic, self-motivated, quick learner with the ability to work independently
- BS Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degree a plus
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions.
