Description
Role Responsibilities:- Point of contact between Development, Risk, Quant, and BA teams
- Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
- Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
- Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
- Ability to write complex queries for ad hoc data requests by internal stakeholders (SQL)
- Release implementation and post-release testing
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
- Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
- Maintain documentation on issue corrective actions in-line with best practice to ensure knowledge accessibility and continuous learning amongst team
- This shift is during normal trading hours
Technical Skills:
- Unix/Linux maintenance background
- Shell scripting
- SQL (writing multiple queries, joining tables, etc.)
- Experience supporting a Java environment (either debugging or coding) is nice to have
Preferred Skills:
- Self motivated with ability to multitask and work effectively under extreme pressure and stress
- Trade operations, application support, or production support background
- Financial background a plus (trading, exchanges, investment bank)
