Urgent Network Planner required for Dublin, Ireland. Your role will encompass holistic planning, governance and control for my clients IT Infrastructure estate. Accountable for demand fulfilment, ensuring there is sufficient capacity to meet demand plans, managing the IT Infrastructure Operational and Capital budgets ensuring they align to the E2E and procurement processes and delivering the annual operating plans;
High level network, infrastructure, resource and operational analysis of the impact on the IT Infrastructure area for every new project coming through the end to end delivery process that impacts IT Infrastructure
Capability roadmap and plan for each capability in IT Infrastructure, to drive capability evolution and improvement
Develop scenarios and models that plot demand/capacity overtime and delivery scenarios for the IT Infrastructure business area
First level Triage of all work demand coming to IT Infrastructure from Tier 1, Tier 2 and major programmes
Alignment of IT Infrastructure capability roadmaps, and fulfilment capability with CTO roadmaps
Prioritised set of requirements/projects to be sponsored by IT Infrastructure into the end to end process and the Core Network equivalent process
Establishment and management of the Operational and Capital budgets for IT Infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities
-Align requirements across SS&IT and Networks with the budgets, roadmaps and E2E process. Working with Finance, develop an effective process to establish an annual capex and opex budget/forecast for all IT infrastructure year on year. For every project which is being proposed for gate 3 in the E2E process, or the equivalent process in Core Networks - ie the gate before a project moves into Delivery, review the solution assessment with the solution architect/project manager and produce a high level resource and infrastructure impact analysis on IT Infrastructure highlighting. Data Centre and/or exchange space requirements. Build and configuration resource requirements across each IT Infrastructure capability. Design effort requirements likely to fall onto IT Infrastructure due to resource constraints elsewhere. Infrastructure (Server, Networking, Storage) requirements, highlighting any which do not align with the IT or Core Networks strategy and roadmaps. Manage current and future capacity levels/requirements and planning,
