Description
Has full technical responsibility for the success of the chosen design, construction, implementation and system integration for SAP BW/BI .
You are responsible for projects and maintenance of our BW environment:
- Based on the reporting needs work the data model in accordance with the regulations BI. Here you make the correct evaluation that can be. Delivered from the standard business content
- You are responsible for the technical implementation of the BW pieces.
- You take care of the necessary transport requests based on predefined analyses.
- To check the work carried out on the basis of a pre-defined test plan.
- You make sure that the correct parameters are monitored within our monitoring so that all errors are immediately visible so that the agreed service levels can be achieved.
- You keep the documentation up to date.
- You are responsible for the successful implementation of requested changes ( Maintenance).
- You are responsible for the life cycle management and updates/upgrades of existing BW environment.
Other tasks:
- You will assist the project team in resolving technical issues.
- You will assist the other solution for designers Maintenance and project assignments.
- Based on your expertise, you make improvement proposals within the SAP BW environment.
Essential Skills
- In-depth knowledge of SAP data warehouse tools such as SAP BW 7.0, 7.3 & SAP BW reporting tools.
- Good knowledge of ABAP and R3 extractors.
- Knowledge of BI monitoring and reporting facilities.
- Knowledge of Oracle source system BW and/or knowledge of R3 modules (FI, CO, ISU, HR, ...) as a source system to BW.
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes and how these can be used to guarantee service levels.
- Knowledge of various application communication layers.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of overall SAP experience.
- At least 4 years' SAP BW SAP Business Explorer experience.
- More than 5 years experience in the ICT world.
- Working knowledge of IP is a major plus.
- Working knowledge of SAP Utilities is a major plus.
- Practical ABAP knowledge is a plus.
- Practical experience in setting up and using the SAP monitoring tools within a monitoring landscape.
