Electrical Engineer - Medical Device Circuit Design

This Electrical Engineer must be able to design and /? or direct the design of specific electrical components and features, manage all electrical design project activities, track project activities against product development timeline, schedule and document all product development related activities.? Provide direction to other engineering and CAD personnel.? Define electrical testing and certification requirements, Interface with vendor, Quality, Regulatory and manufacturing facilities and report project activities and status to management.?

Requirements

• B.?S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering and required.?
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of electrical circuit, including discrete component, and ASIC design for consumer products.?
• Proficiency in the Design & Development of schematic (SCH) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) using CAD tools for consumer products.?
• Designing & development of firmware with use of C language for consumer products.? (Prefer Microchip or Atmel). Experience with Java or Android is a plus.
• Analog and digital circuit design of driving circuits using single MOSFET, half bridge, full bridge & boot strap topology.?Knowledge on RF engineering is a plus.
• Familiarity with AC-DC power supplies, AC-DC load, and data logger.?
• Ability to assemble working prototype PCBA's for development and testing.?
• Select and specification of components and equipment based on cost and reliability and creation of BOM.?
• Failure analysis on components & finished assemblies and approval through testing.?Defining electrical test plans and documents for products
• Create test documents like New Product Qualification (NPQ) with Product Evaluation Acceptance Criteria (PEAC) and applicable Lab Testing Procedures (LTP) for the newly develop products according to the applicable UL, FCP, ETL & CSA standards.?
• Provide direction to technicians for the set-up and testing of components and units.
• Interface with Asian suppliers and factories (potential China travel, once a year)
• Coordinate and provide technical support and assistance to other departments like purchasing, marketing, quality, and regulatory to ensure that product designs meet the requirements.?
