POSITION OVERVIEWThe successful candidate will be a member of the IT Applications Technical Organization, specifically supporting Maximo environments version 7 and upward. With minimum supervision and as part of a team, they will be responsible for system installations, upgrades and patches as well as application and interface configurations to maintain and improve system availability, performance and functionality. They will be expected to take responsibility for the quality of their work through thorough testing and appropriate technical documentation.
The role is to support the Met Police project; the candidate will therefore be required to pass the "Metropolitan Police - Counter Terrorist Check" (NPPV2) before employment could commence. KBR will coordinate the security clearance checks as part of the candidate selection process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate must have the following qualifications and experience
" An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering is required
" Candidate must have extensive experience in Systems development and/or Applications Support which includes experience in Analysis, Design, Programming, Support and maintenance activities
" Experience of configuring and supporting Maximo and Maximo 7
" A thorough understanding of the Maximo interface architectures
" Good SQL skills and knowledge of Oracle databases generally and specifically the Maximo database.
" Java programming skills an advantage
" Broad knowledge of Asset and Work Management processes
" Possess analytical skills to break down and complete complex tasks,
" Good organizational skills giving the ability to consistently deliver to project scheduled and estimates.
" Excellent written, oral, comprehension and presentational skills to enable effective communication with our customers and. management as well as providing good technical maintenance documentation.
" Ability to work independently keeping management adequately informed
" Knowledge of data processing including a high-end (general) technical knowledge of hardware, software, databases and database technologies.
" Candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate strong project planning, organizational, and technical documentation skills with technical knowledge of hardware, software, databases and database technology. Project development team and IT project management experience is desired.
