A leading financial organisation is hiring a Wintel Support Engineer to join the Wintel team. The primary functions of this role are providing automated solutions, support and continual maintenance for the Wintel infrastructure.
Responsibilities of a Wintel Support Engineer:
- Develop Solutions for day to day platform management tasks using VB and PowerShell, on Microsoft and VMware technologies
- Provide support for a Windows (Server and Desktop) ,VMware and Citrix infrastructure in an Enterprise Active Directory environment
- Act as a visible point of contact for the Wintel Infrastructure (O/S and hardware)
The successful applicant will be one of the company's experts on Windows related technologies and will have to demonstrate strong automation skills along with the technical experience needed to build high-performance, resilient solutions. These skills need to transcend both server and end user environments.
Required skills of a Wintel Support Engineer:
- Powershell
- VMWare
- Citrix
- Past experience of support within financial services
Salary - £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits (depending on experience)
