My client is based in the South West of England and require a Pathology Project Manager.

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Understanding of programme and project management, including an understanding of what differentiates project and programme management.
  • Understanding and knowledge of how to scope, define and plan a project and how to deliver a project with clear deliverables and outcomes.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of project performance management processes and their role in the delivery of large change projects.
  • Knowledge of programme and project management discipline and best practice, and the role of a project manager. Able to understand how the PMO can support managers on issues like reporting, performance management and risk management.
  • Knowledge of governance structures and how their hierarchy integrates to support the delivery of a large programme of work.
  • Understands the environment in which the Trust operates both now and in the future, its role in providing healthcare to the community, and the challenging agenda for improving public services.
  • Understands the rigor required to define and maintain standards and processes related to successful management of projects.
  • Understands the basic change process, its importance in enabling an organisation to meet immediate and future challenges, and its impact on an organisations workforce and the sensitivities associated with this.
  • Investigate logistic related problems, find root causes, and develop solutions

  • Develop performance reports and distribute them to stakeholders
  • Recommend logistics improvements/solutions to logistics and associated business processes and systems based on an understanding of business needs, including integration with pathology specimen receptions

  • To work with suppliers to manage logistics and supply chain arrangements

  • Understanding of and adherence to NHS procurement frameworks
