SAP FICO Business Process Manager, Finance & Decision Support, Manchester £65,000 - £70,000

My client, a market leader with 12 billion annual turnover and over 49,000 employees globally, is currently in need of a Business Process Consultant for Finance and Decision support.

Key responsibilities:
  • Providing expert technical and application advice, especially around SAP Finance
  • Develop and manage a small team of Decision Support Specialists (Business Objects & SAP-BW)
  • Providing advise and guidance on changes to the SAP Template Finance area as requested
  • Business case development and planning
  • Technical functionality delivered by the applications
  • Ensuring user expertise and sustainability is established
  • Identification and delivery of year-on-year improvements in business processes and strategic utilisation of IS within Finance functions
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislative requirements
  • Facilitate and manage the project prioritisation process to ensure that resources are allocated optimally



You will need to have experience in the following areas:
  • Extensive knowledge of business processes and application functionality to enable the resolution of complex problems
  • Educated to degree level in a finance relevant subject
  • Professional accountancy qualification
  • Strong experience and understanding of SAP FICO application, capability and configuration in the following FICO modules; AP, AR, new GL, FA.
  • SAP Invoice management
  • Experienced systems development lifecycles
  • Good understanding of integration with SD and MM
  • FICO technical understanding of ABAP, user exits, BAPIs and BADIs
  • Proven track record of leading and making significant contribution to successful delivery of project
  • Experience in dealing with local solutions and processes versus global processes
  • Must be a self starter and be able to re-prioritise activities to suit the dynamic business conditions
  • Experience of working in at least 2-3 SAP life cycle projects, including the latest versions
  • Functional knowledge of other Finance related applications will be an advantage
  • Experience in the use of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) functionality will be an advantage
  • Understanding of reporting/data retrieval technologies/techniques would also be an advantage.
