As a Senior Analyst you'll be working to deliver first-rate insight and analytics to key stakeholders including senior management and Directors. This is a strategic role that will suit an insight analyst who has an exceptional aptitude for data analysis and solid experience driving insight from customer data.
Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an analytical /statistical role.
- Experience of creating new and innovative and complex methodologies that are both analytically sound and simple enough to communicate to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent understanding of advanced analytical techniques, both on a theoretical and practical level.
- Stakeholder management and experience of working with senior managers and Directors.
- Strong data manipulation skills, able to identify discrepancies and validate data to ensure accuracy (skills in Microsoft Excel and SQL Server are vital).
- Have a real passion/curiosity to provide business insight and the ambition to move your career to a more senior role in the future
- Experience with BI and web analytics tools (experience using SSRS, Google Analytics, SharePoint 2010, Business Objects etc.)
Duties Include
- You will be performing a role that involves both hands on analysis and strategic planning.
- Proactively deliver actionable insights to drive improvements in performance and help the business hit their strategic objectives. Your recommendations will feed into business strategy to enable informed decisions.
- Ownership of insight projects from end-to-end including - gathering requirements, interrogating our databases, performing complex data analysis to forecast performance or identify the best outcomes before presenting key insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support junior analysts offering experience and help with their development.
- You will also help support other departments with their day to day needs including dashboards and reports to facilitate business decisions.
