This company is a dynamic entrant into the UK energy market and is creating a fresh approach to the way suppliers operate by putting the customer at the heart of everything they do. The company is looking to recruit a highly talented analyst with drive and enthusiasm to join their fast paced Business Intelligence Team.
As a Senior Analyst you'll be working to deliver first-rate insight and analytics to key stakeholders including senior management and Directors. This is a strategic role that will suit an insight analyst who has an exceptional aptitude for data analysis and solid experience driving insight from customer data.
You'll need . . . .
- Experience in hands on analysis and strategic planning.
- Be able to deliver insights to achieve improvements in performance and help the business hit strategic objectives
- The ability to liaise with key stakeholders to understand future departmental goals/objectives and define a strategic roadmap for analysis that will support these goals
- Ability to take ownership of insight projects from end-to-end including gathering requirements, interrogating our databases, performing complex data analysis to forecast performance or identify the best outcomes before presenting key insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Ability to support the Head of Business Intelligence in delivering the analytical strategy, support junior analysts offering experience and help with their development, and also help support other departments with their day to day needs including dashboards and reports to facilitate business decisions
Qualifications/Experience
Essential:
- Degree educated with a minimum 2:1 level degree in a numeric, scientific or Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an analytical /statistical role.
- Experience of creating new and innovative and complex methodologies that are both analytically sound and simple enough to communicate to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent understanding of advanced analytical techniques, both on a theoretical and practical level.
- Stakeholder management and experience of working with senior managers and Directors
- Strong data manipulation skills, able to identify discrepancies and validate data to ensure accuracy (skills in Microsoft Excel and SQL Server are vital).
- Have a real passion/curiosity to provide business insight and the ambition to move your career to a more senior role in the future
- Confident with excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Experience with BI and web analytics tools (experience using SSRS, Google Analytics, SharePoint 2010, Business Objects etc.)
Desirable:
-Knowledge of statistics
