Mechanical Engineer - Design. Circa £45,000. Aberdeen.Progressive Global Energy is currently working with a leading service company in the recruitment of a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in their office based in South East Aberdeen.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing oil tool equipment designs whether it be to meet specific client requirements or in general the needs of the oil field industry.
On a day to day basis you will be involved in:
- Development of product designs by analysing client requirements
- Engage in product development work with various internal departments
- Drawing up operating procedures
- Development of manufacturing techniques
- Mentoring and monitoring the work of other engineering personnel that may be allocated to the more larger scale projects
- Involvement in design review meetings
Required Skill Set/Experience:
- Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASI
- Extensive subsea design experience however candidates with extensive downhole experience may also be considered
Qualification Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent or as an alternative hold a HND or HNC plus suitable industry experience
