If you like rolling up your sleeves and doing true Windows Engineering work, then we have a job for you! We are seeking a Windows Engineer who will be responsible for installing and maintaining Windows Servers, peripherals, and software. Daily responsibilities will include installing new systems; upgrading existing systems; and monitoring, supporting, and repairing existing systems. Systems may include computer systems, phone systems, surveillance and security systems, and Paging A/V systems, but the primary emphasis is Windows Servers. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Providing support and maintenance for operating systems and for Servers, including Microsoft Active Directory & GPO and AD-enabled DNS and DHCP.
- Providing support for business applications such as email Microsoft Exchange 2013, IIS Web Services, IBM WebSphere, Microsoft SQL Server 2012 & 2008.
- Configuring and Managing server systems including Windows Server 2012, 2008R2 Hyper-V, ESET Antivirus, Dell iDrac, Veeam Backup, SMPT PRTG Systems Monitor and PowerChute, Dell Wyse Thin Client Management, RDS VDI services.
- Providing support for other systems including: Avaya IP Office, Siemens/Nortel/Lucent Legacy PBX systems, security, surveillance, SNMP monitoring systems (PRTG), WiFi (Routers/Firewalls/access-points). Vendor platforms include Barracuda, Watchguard, RSA, Managed Switches (Trunking and V-LANs) and APs, Dell, Fortinet, Sonicwall, Zyxell.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- A bachelor's degree in information systems or technology related technical field is required
- 3+ years of experience with Windows systems engineering.
- Must have experience with Windows 2012
- Ability to travel to local office locations in the greater Atlanta metro area
- 3+ years of experience administrating Microsoft Exchange (current version - 2013 - is required)
- 3+ years of experience with Active Directory
- Experience with Hyper V
- Experience with Veeam Back Up
- Local candidates preferred
