Senior Groovy Developer
Skills: 3-5 Years experience developing with Groovy/Grails, Java, Spring, SOAP Web Services, REST, JSON
Summary
The Senior Groovy Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Groovy, Java and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) based Middleware and web applications to further the company's product development goals. Greenfield opportunity, working with an established product that is being developed for next generations on a foundational model. Problem solving skills and team communication are critical for success. The position requires the ability to analyze and understand requirements; overall understanding of existing and emerging Groovy, Grails, Java, SOAbased Middleware and web technologies, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Communicating with partner/client technical teams to turn business requirements into technical requirements
- Designing, implementing and maintaining applications and services
- Covering your code with automated unit and functional tests
- Re-factoring and improving existing code base
- Conducting design and code reviews
- Implementation of Code Quality Standards in CodeNarq
- Mentoring other developers
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years experience developing with Groovy/Grails, Java, Spring, SOAP Web Services, REST, JSON
- Experience with SOA
- Experience with Automated Testing
- Experience with Static Code Analysis
- Very Strong understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and design
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in high traffic Web service development
- Experience in E-commerce Web service development
- Experience with, Agile/Scrum
- Experience with TDD
- BSCS/BSEE or equivalent
- Experience with static code analysis tools for Groovy (eg CodeNarq)
