Job Title: Planning Engineer
Reporting to: Chief Engineer – Engineering Services / Director – Planning & Design
Department: Ha – Planning & Design
Job Function: Calculation and application of appropriate time standards to all approved projects and to assist in the completion and maintenance of work measurement “data bank”. To investigate performance / utilization and to report to Director of Planning & Design / Chief Engineer factors likely to impair efficiency.
Duties:
- Coordination with Planning& Design’s Engineers/ Architects in programming design and
Construction works for the approved projects.
- To assist the Quantity Surveyor in the “Takeoff’ of materials and cost estimates.
- To assist in compilation and maintenance of work measurement time standards data bank.
- Analysis of staff utilization and manpower resource levels.
- Calculation and presentation of performance indicators on report form for all on-going design and construction projects.
- Maintenance and update of all procedures and data manuals related to on-going design and
Construction works for each project.
- Assist the project’s P.T.R. in producing all required reports as per policy& procedures.
- Deputizes for Quantity Surveyor in periods of absence.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with project IPP and APP requirements.
- Any other job related duties as directed or assigned by the Planning& Design Director/ Chief Engineer.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering college.
Experience:
- Require minimum 8 years’ experience in project scheduling, programming by Primavera-SureTrak or other equivalent software.
- Must have expert certification in computer proficiency level, must have a clear understanding of efficient standards of working performance, with a knowledge of rating such standards
