Job Title – Wagon Technical Coordinator
Reports to – Wagon Workshop Supervisor
Department – Rolling Stock
Direct Reports – 5 +
Job Description:
Coordinate schedule and plan Mineral and Cargo Wagon maintenance activities. The Technical Co-ordinator liases between RS Maintenance Planning and the Workshop to ensure that workshop maintenance on bogies and other components is completed for the Wagon technicians to re-install into their rolling stock.
Job Duties:
- Ensure Maintenance Schedules are current.
- Ensure optimal maintenance of bogies and wheels.
- Ensure that Component Maintenance is performed.
- Ensure that Procedures are followed.
- Ensure Safety Standards are met.
- Supervise the Planner and Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum BSc Eng.
EXPERIENCE
- 8 years relevant experience.
- 5 Years’ experience with a Freight Railway.
- 5 years managing the wheel and bogie maintenance function.
