Description
An Android Mobile Applications and Game Developer for an internship position is required for a fast-growing start-up company based in London working on a wearable and game technology. If you want to create amazing user experiences and entertainment for millions of players to enjoy on the go then this is the right job for you. You will take a lead on creating and maintaining our mobile API/SDK and game engine. You will specify, design, build and implement existing and new GUI and map the hardware inputs to the games. As part of the development team you will enjoy a creative, challenging and collaborative environment where your ideas will be every bit as valued as your programming expertise. As an intern you have an interest in understanding the whole tech stack, you have good analytical capabilities, you write well-structured code, are comfortable working on complex code-base and have a great sense of what makes a good game/App. Responsibilities may include research, analysis, documentation, coding, design and testing programs in support or development of technology used within this fast moving and dynamic technology driven company. We’re looking for a talented forward-thinker and creative problem solver. A passionate team player who is eager to explore new frontiers and grow with us.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this job include:
Your responsibilities
* Work in a team to implement an Android API/SDK
* Work in a team to implement a native Android app and User Interface (based on the SDK)
* Maintain current platforms
What you should bring
* The right to work in the UK
* Experience within Android development and native app development both phones and tablets
* A knowledge of techniques/APIs such as: UI development using Fragments, Multithreaded programming on Android (Loaders, AsyncTasks etc), Unit Testing, Debugging skills, Java, C, JavaScript / JQuery, HTML 5, CSS, Game Design, Python (is desirable)
* Passion for Mobile Development
* Source code management in a team environment (e.g. Git, Mercurial or TFS)
