Description
A premier government department in Canberra seeks the services of a Budget Analyst to
- Accurately extract financial data from ERP system (SAP) and present in user-friendly format in Microsoft Excel.
- Work with Project Managers and other technical staff to identify reasons to budget under/over spends.
- Identify appropriate accruals, such as prepayments and accrued expenses for IT projects.
- Use the department's records management tools to capture key information
- Investigate anomalies and work with financial colleagues to resolve budget matters
Skills required:
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Government, accounting principles and related legislation
- Highly effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Microsoft Excel skills and SAP experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related
The contract period is ASAP to 30th June, 2014 with further 12 months extension possibilities.
Australian Citizenship/Negative Vetting Level 2 is highly desirable.
