Paxus Developer/Paxus Life/MVM Systems Developer/Life/400 Developer
My client is seeking a Paxus Developer to provide technical analysis, Development, unit testing and system test support, for on going project work.
Key Deliverables:
. Provide technical analysis support on assigned projects to allow business analysts to complete functional requirements
. Review changes, impact assessment and agree approach and provide estimates
. Design, analysis and development of complex changes as required
. Unit test and provide test support as required
. Proactive risk and issue management
. Track their progress against agreed milestones
. Troubleshoot technical issues
Essential Experience:
. Evidence of Life and Pensions Experience preferable
. Have at least 5 years' experience in Cobol, DB2, SQL
. Strong knowledge of the Paxus Life/MVS system or Life 400 including knowledge of complex functional areas.
. Possess the ability to design and develop quality software that demonstrates an understanding of the impact of application development on system performance.
. Have a good understanding of the business products within a Life & Pensions Company
. Experience in writing technical documentation/unit test documents to a high standard
. Proven track record for good estimation and impact assessment of complex business requirements.
. Should have a strong focus on quality and testing procedures
. Ability to communicate effectively with the relevant business community to determine exact business requirements.
