Essential Functions: 

  • Delivers training programs for ePIMS and the Point of Sale system. 
  • Facilitates and organizes class attendance, training assessments, training plans, trainer notes, handouts, review activities, audio-visual aids and class preparation to include database maintenance, validation and coordination. 
  • Delivers training presentations to groups of all sizes using multiple delivery systems/methods which include but are not limited to on site teaching, video conferencing, conference calls, classes and other technology to support communication. 
  • Facilitates discussions with multi-generational and diverse classes including difficult conversations and escalates concerns, feedback and questions appropriately. 
  • Documents and provides reports and feedback regarding on training content, curriculum, duration and Pharmacy staff participation in Pharmacy Department training activities. 
  • Collaborates with Pharmacy Training Team to ensure shared knowledge of all pharmacy training materials. 
  • As a representative of the MAS Pharmacy Department, works collaboratively with the Regional Learning Partners and key stakeholders 
  • Performs other duties as directed. 

Required Experience: 

  • *These are the MUST HAVE items. If a candidate does not have these then they will be rejected.* 
  • Three years of conducting training programs on a variety of subjects or course equivalent experience. 
  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of applications. 

Preferred Experience: 

  • *These are things that we would like to see, but are NOT required to fill the position. These are NOT disqualifying items.* 
  • Two years Pharmacy Operations experience as a CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) or Pharmacist
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care, education or related field preferred or combination of Pharmacy Technician work experience and two years of college courses or Registered Pharmacist 

Required Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED

Travel Required: 

  • Up to 50% (Regional) Reimbursed 

*April 7th will start their training assignments - prior to that they will be in Sterling, VA being trained by the Mgr and his team (they may also be in CA for part of the training as well). After April 7th they will be travelling to VA, MD and DC to perform their trainings* 

*Once they are assigned to a given Medical Center they will stay there for the majority of the duration of the project.*
