System Administrator
We are looking for a System Administrator at OTT Services operation to support, monitor and maintain the service infrastructure. You will join the system engineer team which is part of the technical support department and will be involved in maintaining the service platform.
Responsibilities:
Undertake operational tasks required for the effective provision, administration and maintenance of central Linux services.
Plan and deploy operating system, application upgrades and security patches; carry out other standard Unix system management tasks.
Respond to service requests, including 2nd/3rd line support.
Investigate new technologies and applications, sharing technical expertise with technical specialists and other colleagues within the Department.
Experience required:
Good knowledge in IT, databases, Scripting and programming. You are self- motivated, able to delivery towards fixed deadlines and willing to expand your knowledge. Being able to communicate and take decisions during stressful situation is two of your bigger characteristics.
Highly skilled in Unix/Linux environments with good experience of maintenance and automation.
Ability to understand "end user problems" and translate them to requirements/solutions (or courteous dismissals when appropriate).
Experience in programming of control systems.
Experience in network, archiving/storage, virtualization, IP and routing.
Experience in encoding, transcoding and video over IP solutions.
